P-scan System 4 Family

Since 1977 FORCE Technology has continously updated and improved the P-scan system to meet new customer demands for automated inspection tasks. P-scan System 4 represents the 4'th generation of P-scan systems.

P-scan System 4 is a high performance ultrasonic and eddy current inspection system providing the newest technology available today giving the possibility to accomplish the most demanding NDT jobs in industry.

P-scan System 4 is designed with special attention to:

  • Fast set-up time
  • Small equipment size
  • Ease-of-use
  • Flexibility

The core of P-scan System 4 is the remotely controlled data acquisition and processing unit.

The P-scan 4 family consists of three remotely controlled systems:

 PSP-4 mini

PSP-4L mini

 PSP-4F mini

P-scan 4+
High-end, general purpose
Ultrasonic inspection system
(optional Eddy Current).

P-scan 4 Lite
Compact, battery powered
Ultrasonic inspection system.

P-scan 4 FLEX
High-end, concurrent  Ultrasonic
and Eddy Current inspection system.

Common to all systems:

  • PS-4 software running on Microsoft® Windows® XP or Vista operating systems
  • User Interface
  • Data format
  • Remotely controlled from a PC with the PS4 software over a Ethernet link (cable or fiber optics)
  • Built-in scanner controller for both manual and automatic scanners
  • Ultrasonic probes, scanners, and other peripheral units such as water pumps and remote control units are directly connected to the processing unit

Benefits:

  • Only one software package to install and learn
  • Same user interface makes it easy to operate all three P-scan systems
  • The same data format makes is easy to use data on any of the three systems
  • No need for external scanner controller

The systems supports a great variety of inspection techniques:

  • P-scan for weld inspection
  • T-scan for corrosion mapping
  • Through Transmission for composite testing
  • TOFD for detection and sizing
  • Full A-scan recording for off-line processing
  • Eddy Current inspection (optional for some systems)
